Chris Gibson – Founder and Personal Trainer

Chris Gibson, is the founder of Frontier Performance, as well as being one of the personal trainers, here in Exeter. With 18 years’ experience in the industry, Chris has the knowledge and ability to help any client with their fitness requirements. Frontier Performance was set up to provide high quality training for everyone, rather than just elite athletes.
Chris strongly believes in a client centred training approach based on a foundation of quality movement. He ensures that both clients and athletes are brilliant at the basics and fluent at the fundamentals. Therefore, this allows his clients to achieve long lasting improvements on their performance.

Helen Kukor – Personal Trainer
Passionate about health, fitness and nutrition, Helen aims to provide a fun training environment for all our clients. The sessions that Helen delivers are based around the basics of human movement as this is a fundamental element that all training sessions must include.
Helen believes that people must train with a certain level of intensity that pushes them beyond their current limits. She also believes that steady progressions and programming are key to success when getting stronger, fitter and healthier.
At Frontier Performance, Helen is our soft tissues specialist. Therefore, she can provide sports massage therapy to all our clients if required. This allows us to assist their recovery after injury as well as helping them to achieve optimum movement and performance.
Helen’s Sporting Background
Helen started playing football at a young age before moving to Central Ladies AFC aged 12. At 15 she was invited to play for Newton Abbot LFC before transferring to Plymouth Argyle LFC two years later. She also represented Devon U18’s and Devon Ladies teams for football on multiple occasions.
However, she didn’t stop there with her excellent sporting achievements. In her first year of University at Exeter, Helen was picked to play for England Universities in the British University Games.
After that, she decided to take a break from football and started playing rugby 7s. Rugby 7s is a very fast paced, high intensity game that takes a lot of skill and fitness. Helen went on to represent the University of Exeter at the European University 7s Championships, beating Lille in the final.
After graduating, Helen went back to football and signed for Exeter City LFC staying there for 6 seasons and winning the County Cup twice.
Helen’s experience within the personal training and fitness field is further improved by her impressive array of qualifications. The qualifications Helen has achieved include the following.
